Francisco Franco Francisco Franco was the tyrant of Spain from 1939 to 1975, including the hour of WW2. Maybe he was otherwise called â€Å"El Caudillo,† converted into English as The Leader. He was brought up in Spain. He was a splendid military general who drove Nationalist dissidents in overcoming the Spanish government during the Spanish Civil War.
